What a beautiful day for a Block Party and Neighborhood Cleanup! The students were great, the weather was awesome, and the neighbors were as delightful as always. The kids enjoyed seemingly endless bounces in the bounce house and the grill kept on giving.
Thanks to everyone who came out, and in particular thanks to Tania for organizing and hosting the Berkeley Project student volunteers, and to Kim & Duff for hosting the block party.
In case you missed it, the Berkeley Project sent 25 energetic Cal students out to do whatever we needed done. They picked up gobs of Halloween candy wrappers, cleaned out all the storm drains, trimmed up branches that had grown out into the sidewalk, helped a few neighbors with front yard work, and planted more daffodils than I can count! I can’t wait to see the burst of yellow in February! We should be able to host them again in March, so let Tania know if you have project ideas for the Spring cleanup!
